Ray and Mike were fantastic, very knowledgeable and kind.We are new to the area and needed help with a repair on my wife’s e-bike.They made us feel very welcome and fixed it fast and the cost was very reasonable.5 stars is not enough in my opinion.We will never go anywhere else. I highly recommend them.

Above decent help and convenient location, friendly, if not the most amazing service (what bike shop has that?), and helpful staff make this local shop a good option if you’re nearby.I brought a single-speed bike with two flats here, asked for a tune-up, and the gentleman at the counter visually inspected the bike and advised I wouldn’t need a tune-up so much as the new tubes and a safety check. All told, he said it would be $80 for thorn-resistant tubes installed and the safety check. The receipt broke it down (the gentleman did not), and it was listed that the safety check would cost $25, the tubes $17 each, and the labor at $24.By my calculator, the tubes were possibly about $5 overpriced (some thorn resistant are listed at $12 each; the brand Paragon used was not mentioned/listed, but I would guess Sunlite or similar, which is more like $17-20). I scanned the bike before I brought it in and again after pickup, and I didn’t notice the bolts or chain grease being any different before/after the fix. Obviously the new tubes were aired up. The gentleman at the counter did not review any of this to me, hence my comment about the service above. If he had shown/mentioned to me the brand of the tubes, I might not have any commentary at all.I was a new customer, and the guy didn’t make any attempt to get to know me nor my riding style. He may have noticed that I’m 6’3” and I was bringing in a 48cm bike, clearly not for me (I got it as a gift for my kid’s mom whose bike was stolen). I was glad he didn’t try to sell me something different, and although he could have upsold me on some accessories (locks, water bottles, lights, tape, etc.) he didn’t do that either. Thanks for sparing me as I was trying to operate on a budget.If I felt like I had the time, I easily could have done all of this work and more without spending half the money. But that’s where the convenience (and my five star rating) come into play. I have two jobs and a son, and I don’t always want to spend my “spare” time getting hot and greasy on bikes that aren’t mine. So essentially I feel like I got my money’s worth from good senior mechanics who know their stuff, don’t bother me with up-selling, and generally got a good job done in a decent timeframe.If I could recommend some improvements, I would, but this stuff is all par for the course at LBS’s, I trust they did the work I paid for (the bike was in mostly decent shape when I brought it in), and I got a nice gift for under $100 for someone who matters a lot to me. So, five stars and my best to everyone at Paragon!
